Inspired by our classic Backcountry, the new Climb Splitboard evolves with key improvements in lightness, grip, and maneuverability.
Designed with a directional traditional camber profile, it offers superior uphill performance and optimal downhill response across any snow condition. Its Flex 8 delivers the ideal stiffness required by Big Mountain riders.
What’s New & Technical Performance

10% Lighter: Its new core combines paulownia, poplar, and bamboo wood. It maintains the same flex and torsional response as its predecessor while significantly reducing weight underfoot.

Integrated Skin System: Features two tip holes to secure skins without classic tail clips or buckles. This allows you to assemble the board into downhill mode before removing the climbing skins, preventing the board from accidentally sliding down the mountain.

V-Shape Geometry & Efficient Skinning: Thanks to the new V-shape tip and tail (similar to the Nimbus shape) and the recessed clip positioning, you can now skin uphill without swapping the board halves.

Enhanced Hard-Snow Grip & Kick Turns: By skinning with the straight edge on the downhill ski (valley side), flex is reduced and traction is maximized on traverses and kick turns when tough mountain conditions demand it. (Recommended for experienced riders with parallel skinning technique).

Rocker Tip & Setback: Exceptional float in deep powder thanks to the setback stance and elevated nose rocker.

Superior Turn Control: We reduced tail kick elevation to achieve longer edge contact. You initiate turns earlier, exit later, and gain superior agility throughout the arc.

V-SHAPE TIP & TAIL
Ski-Style Design for Smoother Skinning
The new shape streamlines each half in ascent mode and moves the clips inward toward the center. This eliminates sharp angles on the inside edge and prevents clips from catching or snagging as you stride.
Skinning Without Swapping Halves: Maximum Hard-Snow Grip
Thanks to this design, you can skin without switching the halves to opposite sides. Keeping the straight edge on the downhill ski eliminates sidecut depth at your point of lowest leverage, keeping the ski stiffer and biting aggressively into hardpack or icy snow. The result is a more stable traverse and a far more secure, solid kick turn.

Note: Recommended for experienced riders comfortable with parallel skinning technique. If you are following a narrow conventional ski track, swapping the halves is preferred to avoid friction between skis.
